2020 has been a tricky and challenging year for everyone, the novel coronavirus has changed everyone’s plans and business. Covid-19 turned the world upside down. So, it’s still important to look at how you can improve your dental practice’s growth.

A New Year is a perfect time to assess where your practice is and what your priorities will be going forward. In fact, we often do New Year Resolutions in our personal life but how many of us use the same for business? In addition to achieve success, lose weight, and getting organized, here are a few simple suggestions to help your dental practice prosper in 2021.

  1. Evaluate what needs to change and make a Goal

Many of us struggle with day-to-day challenges and before we know it, we are halfway through the year. This year begin thinking about a goal for your dental practice.  Just “Keeping Busy” is not a goal. Talk with your staff, your spouse, dentists, and prepare a goal that you believe in, and one you’re willing to work for.

  • Make your goal attainable:

If you believe it or not, 75% of New Year’s resolutions fail. Make your goal reasonable and then share it with your staff and others, who are part of its success. Here at Interphase, we’ve noticed our most successful dental practices are those who have informed their staff about the success. When team members know the exact numbers, they are more likely to feel ownership over the success of the practice.

  • Measure, Measure, Measure:

You must figure out how to measure your progress. Pick a number that you currently collect that will represent your dental practice’s progress.

For example, if you want to increase your new patients, who follow up for a second appointment, measure the second appointment directly. Don’t measure the number of follow-up calls made or the number of new patients seen.

  • Don’t give up.

You may learn many things from 2020, the same as that you’ll have small and big distractions pop up in 2021. All the while, keep your 2021 goal in mind. This is not something that can happen without your attention. Just remember, your focus is the oxygen your goal needs to become an established process. (Both in personal and professional life).

Well, a great way to establish new processes is getting rid of old technology that is holding you back from improving. Interphase is a unified patient communication software built to meet all dental practice’s needs – from appointment scheduling to communication with your patients, as well as tracking, analyzing, and growing your dental practice.

Pick your goals. Put them in action. Track your success. Then look back and see how successful you were, just by incorporating a few strategies into your plan! Happy New Year! Good luck!

That’s it. Now, get going. 2021 is your year. We can feel it.
